Monica Breidenbach
Monica Breidenbach
received her matwork training with the
STOTT PILATES®
licensed training facility in Oxford in
2006 as well as
Advanced Matwork in 2007 and Reformer
this year. She has instructed over 300
classes and sessions, ranging from the
beginning practitioner to very advanced
individuals. She is trained on
incorporating modifications and
equipment for specific body types,
postural issues and conditions which is
an important aspect of Pilates for
rehabilitation. Her passion is helping
clients gain a better awareness of their
body while improving their strength,
flexibility and core stability.
Monica's background in the
exercise
and rehabilitation field
started in 1996 while enlisted in the
United States Air Force, where she
worked in Physio Therapy for both
inpatient and outpatient facilities.
Throughout her enlistment she treated
thousands of patients with various
injuries ranging from knee surgeries and
hip replacements to the complete
rehabilitation of individuals who had
suffered from car accidents or
amputations. Her experience includes
exercise training with weights to more
specialized instruction such as gait
training in the parallel bars. While
working in the rehabilitation
environment she gained an
appreciation for exercise
and how beneficial it can be to an
individuals daily living and their
mobility. Although her expertise was in
modality treatments, rehabilitation and
wound therapy she found instructing
health and fitness programs to be most
rewarding.
Monica is a member of the
Register of Exercise
Professionals (REPS)
and holds an Instructor Level 2
qualification.
