Chartered Physiotherapists use their detailed knowledge
of how joints and muscles work to assess the cause of pain or injury.
This may be as a result of sports, arthritis,
accidents, post-surgery, work-related disorders, or just general wear and tear.
The aim of physiotherapy treatment is to promote
healing and restore normal function and movement using a variety of different
techniques.
Typically these may include soft tissue or joint
mobilisation / manipulation, electro-therapy, and specific exercise programmes
to improve your strength, flexibility and general health.
Physiotherapists can also offer ergonomic assessments
in the workplace and advice on manual handling.
